The Dora the Explorer Bookmark craft is lots of fun for kids who like Dora and makes a great school supply to add to your back to school Dora collection. Kids will like making this craft because they pick out what goes on it and design it by themselves. If your child likes to read Dora the Explorer stories or is going into pre-school this year, The Dora the Explorer bookmark craft will make reading time special. Let's make a Dora the Explorer bookmark that will get every child excitied about exploring books.

The supplies you will need are - a ruler, scissors, posterboard or construction paper, a hole puncher, ribbon, markers, Dora the Exploer stickers, Dora the Explorer pictures, a glue stick, white glue and glitter. For each bookmark choose a peice of construction paper or posterboard. Parents will need to help kids with this next part. Take a ruler and lay it down verticaly and draw a line from the 1 inch mark to the 6 inch mark. Take the ruler again so it touches the bottom mark where you measured 6 inches. Draw a line 1 1/2 inches across from that mark. From that mark measure up 6 inches again and 1 1/2 inches on top.

After you have done the measuring, cut it out with scissors. Parents might need to help smaller children with scissors. Once you have the amout of bookmarks you want cut out, take the hole puncher and punch a hole on the top as close to the middle as you can. Take the ribbon your child has picked out and tie it on. Next let your child put their Dora the Explorer stickers any place they choose. After that let them color the bookmark with markers any place they choose. Once they are done with that they can take their glue stick and glue any Dora the Explorer pictures they want. Finally take the white glue and lay a thin layer down and sprinkle the glitter anyplace they want.

This craft is also a great idea for a Dora the Explorer birthday party. If will also be a fun activity if your child has a sleepover, can't play outside because of weather or is just looking for something fun to do. There are so many possibilites for this craft. You can go to any retail store or craft store and purchase Dora the Explorer stamps and other Dora the Explorer craft supplies your child might want to use. Children will have a great time with the Dora the Explorer bookmark craft.
